Adult BJJ Classes
At Vida Jiu-Jitsu we follow a formatted curriculum in our adult 101 and 201 classes. 101 curriculum rotates each week and the weekly curriculum includes a Judo or wrestling based takedown, a ground position, and the escape from and/or attacks from that ground position. The 201 curriculum changes monthly and focuses on more advanced concepts of BJJ. We also offer open mats and a Road to Blue belt class, which offers drilling of core techniques for white belts.
BJJ 101 Classes
Our 101 curriculum is designed to accommodate adults of all sizes and fitness levels, focusing on mastering the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The curriculum immerses the students in the fundamental principles and techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, all while improving fitness and building confidence. Our refined instructional methods allow our classes to be simple enough for the most inexperienced practitioner to quickly grasp and perform the techniques taught, while providing enough detail for even high level competitors to benefit greatly from the in-depth technique reviews and drills.
Class will end with “rolling,” a form of sparring unique to grappling martial arts. “Rolling” is one of the main reasons for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s extreme effectiveness, as it is one of the few forms of sparring that allows students to practice their techniques at 100% resistance without fear of injury.

BJJ 201 Classes
Our advanced Jiu-Jitsu classes expose our students to the most cutting edge Jiu-Jitsu techniques and greatly expand the repertoire of moves and positions introduced in the fundamentals curriculum.
Each class will cover a specific technique or techniques from our advanced curriculum. The class will drill the technique under the watchful eyes of our instructors to provide details and fault check, then we will end with “rolling,” a form of sparring unique to grappling martial arts. “Rolling” is one of the main reasons for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s extreme effectiveness, as it is one of the few forms of sparring that allows students to practice their techniques at 100% resistance without fear of injury.
